Hey there! Thank you for checking out my blog! I thought it would be appropriate for an introduction. I'm Jessica. I'm 20 years old, and I live in Wisconsin. Yes, the most boring place in the world. My dream is to move somewhere warm. I'm going to school to be a Paralegal. However, I am obsessed with fitness and health, so I could see myself being a health coach or personal trainer as well as a Paralegal. My hobbies include working out, reading, writing, painting my nails, shopping, watching movies, bike rides, knitting, and sleeping. I absolutely love summertime! I could live at the beach! This is why I believe I belong in a warm place! My one passion is writing. I loved writing when I was little, and I had such creative ideas, and eventually I realized that writing is something I really want to do. All of the English teachers I've had told me I was really talented and with more help, and learning, I could become a great writer. Nowadays, I know better than to go to school for English or Journalism. It's a dying field, and relying on it for my sole income would be more than difficult. You're probably wondering why I'm going to be a Paralegal, right? Well, the justice system and the laws really interest me. I love shows like Law & Order, NCIS, Suits, White Collar, Drop Dead Diva. All of these have something to do with the justice system. One of my all time favorite movies is The Lincoln Lawyer, and that movie really sparked my interest for pursuing a career in the legal field. I can't necessarily see myself as a lawyer, but as a lawyer's assistant, I would be perfect. Unlike most people, I love the thought of sitting at a computer all day, answering phones, doing paperwork, etc. It can be simple, boring work, however I think working for a lawyer, and learning about different cases would be fun. I'm currently working as an office assistant, and I really enjoy it. I'm a shy person, so being able to sit at a computer all day, and not have to talk to many people is basically my comfort zone. I've worked in retail, and as my first job, I did not do well. However I feel my people skills have improved greatly. So, I'm hoping to finish school in 2 years, while writing on the side as a hobby. I really hope that someday I can achieve to get my novels published. Right now, my books are simply not ready, and I am not well-informed about the publishing process (besides the fact that it's expensive). Now is the perfect time for me to work on my writing skills and help myself improve. I will probably write a lot of rants, and posts about absolutely nothing. Writing is my way of venting. I'm currently doing a book called Room to Write. It's filled with different writing activities to help you improve your writing. I got the book in my college creative writing class, and I really like it. I'm hoping I can finish this book completely by March, depending on if I actually write everyday. I've done a couple pages already, and I can say there will be some weird ones, but that's the fun of writing. So, that is me. I would love to hear what your goals and dreams are in life! Everyone needs a support system, and I would love to cheer you on and help you find the motivation to chase your dreams! <3
